Kun luonto näyttää meille voimansa, ei sille kukaan voi mitään. Nöyränä joudumme vain vierestä katsomaan, kun se jyllää kaikella mahdillaan. Ammattilaiset tekevät minkä voivat, kyläläiset liittoutuvat tukeakseen toisiaan. Voin vain kuvitella, miltä näyttää, kun 2 000 hehtaaria peltoa on veden vallassa. Meillä ei voida puhua lähellekään sellaisista määristä mutta silti jo pienikin joen ylitulviminen saa maiseman näyttämään järveltä. Voin vain kuvitella, miltä tuntuu, kun oman kodin lattialla on 20 senttiä vettä ja joutuu lähtemään evakkoon. Toivon heille kaikille kaikkea mahdollista apua ja tukea, toivottavasti tilanne kääntyy nopeasti paremmaksi.
It has been greatest floods in 50 and 100 years in parts of Ostrobothnia in Finland. Totally 10 000 hectares of fields are flooded with water from rivers. It is because of all that rain. Many dozens households have been evacuated and in many houses the water has come pouring in. I can only imagine the anxiety, fear and distress these people are facing. Regional administratives are doing their best, citizens help each other. Hopefully this all will be over soon. We do live on a higher ground but yet the minor flooding of our near-by river made the fields seem like a lake. That ain't fun.
